Your Perfect Day
What is included?
The Ridge at Verterra Vineyards provides:
- Exclusive access to the entire property on the day of your event
- Elegant tent with full view sides, sized perfectly for your event
- Team of experienced professionals to oversee all aspects of the planning
- A beautiful bridal lounge for you and the wedding party to get ready for the day
- Indoor, luxury bathrooms for you and all of your guests
- Chairs and rectangle tables to seat up to 95 people - additional furniture can be rented for up 300 people
- Outdoor patio furniture to create an indoor and outdoor experience
- Catering area to create the food for any type of experience
- Wedding arbor and barrels to frame your ceremony
The Verterra team will ensure that your tent and dining tables and chairs will be set up prior to your site access at 10:00AM; at that time, you will be able to customize your tabletops and decor. The wedding party is given access to the wedding lounge for preparation. The lounge is conveniently located next to the dedicated indoor bathrooms. You also have access to the vineyards, garden, woodlands, brook and reflection pond for photographs. Your caterer will be able to utilize a private indoor / outdoor catering area with electricity and water. Our team of experienced professionals will oversee all aspects of the planning details making sure you have a relaxed, stress free celebration.
What time are we able to arrive?
Your contract gives you access to the entire site beginning at 9:00AM on the day of the event. This gives you time to personalize the site and prepare for your perfect event in the wedding lounge.
What time should our wedding start?
Our wedding team will work with you on the detailed timeline for your day but most ceremonies start between 3 and 5 but the options are endless.
What time does the party end?
Local ordnances require music to be turned off at 10:00 PM. You and your guests are required to be offsite by 11:00 PM, at which time we ask that the site is cleaned up of your personal items.
Can we drop off things early?
For your convenience advance arrangements may be made to drop off decor and other small items a day or two prior to your event, subject to available space and other events.
Food and Beverages
What beverages are allowed?
Verterra Winery produces over 20 award winning wines and ciders. We are only licensed to serve our products at The Ridge along wtih an assortmant of non-alcoholic beverages of your selection. Our staff will coordinate with you and your caterer to find pairings to best compliment all aspects of your event.
What are the options for food?
The food options are endless. We have a space designed to support any caterer serving up the buffet to the 9 course meal. We are happy to assist you in choosing caterers and have a preferred vendor list of high-quality professionals we have previously worked with.

The best place to start is with a tour of The Ridge at Verterra Vineyards. Our event coordinator will help personalize your special day through her extensive vendor list, contacts, and knowledge of the surrounding areas. Whatever the season, your guests will have an abundance of sites and activities to enjoy during your wedding week to round out their Leelanau Peninsula experience.
